CUSTOMER TESTIMONIAL:
“My book arrived yesterday and I am absolutely delighted with it. I purchased it in order to really get a feel for the designs in different colours with a view to purchasing some prints. The addition of detail relating to each building, the specific architectural style and the placement of each in chronological order of construction is very illuminating and definitely a possible lead into further study.
Of the prints I think it is the fact that each building is stand alone and stripped of context, no ambient weather, no traffic, no passersby, no effects of time, no surface texture etc. that the beauty and impact of each is crystallised. There are eight buildings in the book which make up my story from early childhood through to the present day. My emotional response to these images equates to a piece of music which places me at a given time in a given place and brings with it a sense of belonging, comfort and also inspiration. As an urbanite I find artistic joy in the built environment”

Following the success of her Second edition book, Linescapes – owned by former architect Amalia Sanchez de la Blanca – takes you on an updated visual tour of the world’s most iconic buildings through a selection of elegant and understated illustrations.
Organised chronologically, the 120 pages and 91 exquisite drawings inside the Third edition of this book give an overall view of the evolution of architecture all around the world, and cover a variety of styles from Tudor times, the Art Deco era, Victorian homes and the controversial Brutalist buildings of the 20th Century among others.
Amalia’s love of architecture and her passion for drawing has inspired her to publish the third edition of this collection of her favourite drawings. The new edition includes new sections dedicated to vernacular architecture and Victorian Homes. It also has additional illustrations of Dungeness, Seven Sisters, Jack&Jill, St Albans’ Cathedral and many house portraits carried out for private clients in the last ten years. We have also shown previous drawings with different background colours. We hope you like them!
