Fallingwater Card

The Fallingwater Card is part of the Sun Collection. These cards are the perfect gift for the architecture lover in your life, or a memento of a trip to this landmark, or simply for you to keep.

Fallingwater is a house designed in 1935 by renowned American architect Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) for the Kaufmann family, owners of Pittsburgh’s largest department store. One of Wright’s most widely acclaimed works, Fallingwater exemplifies his philosophy of organic architecture: the harmonious union of art and nature. Fallingwater is located in the mountains of Southwestern Pennsylvania, also known as the Laurel Highlands, in Mill Run, Fayette County, which is about 70 miles southeast of Pittsburgh. Wright designed Fallingwater to rise above the waterfall over which it is built. Local craftsmen quarried native sandstone and other materials from the property and completed the construction of the main house, guest house and service wing in 1939.hitect Charles Rennie Mackintosh and his wife, the artist Margaret Macdonald, created almost everything you see here, from the building itself to the furniture and textiles.

Our card supplier has always taken environmental concerns seriously, as they print solely on HP Indigo Digital Presses our Pre Press Department is able to be entirely digital as there are no printing plates required for the printing process. All empty ink cans from the presses are re-cycled as is the small amount of waste imaging oil resulting from the printing process. In addition all replacement parts are also returned to the printer’s manufacturer for recycling. All waste paper and board is collected for recycling.
