Standen House Card
The Standen House Card card is the perfect gift for the architecture lover in your life, or a memento of a trip to this landmark, or simply for you to keep.
Standen is an Arts and Crafts house located to the south of East Grinstead, West Sussex, England. The house and its surrounding gardens belong to the National Trust and are open to the public. It is a Grade I listed building. Between 1891 and 1894 architect Philip Webb, who was a friend of William Morris, designed the house for a prosperous London solicitor, James Beale, his wife Margaret, and their family of seven children. The house is constructed in the Wealden vernacular style with sandstone quarried from the estate and locally made bricks and tiles.[2] The interior is decorated with Morris carpets, fabrics and wallpapers, with furnishings also by Morris, and the garden complements the beauty of the house. From the start the house had electric power, originally generated by a donkey engine in a shed by the old barn. The house still has its original electric light fittings, designed by W. A. S. Benson

We believe that businesses are responsible for achieving good environmental practice and should operate where possible in a sustainable manner. We are therefore committed to reducing our environmental impact and continually improving our environmental performance as an integral and fundamental part of our business strategy and operating methods. Not only is this sound commercial sense for all, it is also a matter of delivering on our duty of care towards future generations.
Our card supplier has always taken environmental concerns seriously, as they print solely on HP Indigo Digital Presses our Pre Press Department is able to be entirely digital as there are no printing plates required for the printing process. All empty ink cans from the presses are re-cycled as is the small amount of waste imaging oil resulting from the printing process. In addition all replacement parts are also returned to the printer’s manufacturer for recycling. All waste paper and board is collected for recycling.
Please note:
* The colours you see on your screen may not look exactly the same as the actual print. This is because every computer, Smart phone and iPad screen is configured differently. Hopefully you will think the card looks even more beautiful in real life
