Battersea Power Station is a decommissioned coal-fired power station, located on the south bank of the River Thames, in Nine Elms, Battersea, in the London Borough of Wandsworth. It was built by the London Power Company to the design of Leonard Pearce, Engineer in Chief to the LPC, and CS Allott & Son Engineers. The station ceased generating electricity in 1983, but over the past 50 years it has become one of the best known landmarks in London. Its celebrity owes much to numeorus popular cultural references, including the cover of Pink Floyd’s 1977 album Animals. The building and its surroundings are currently being redeveloped into luxury flats, a hotel, offices and a shopping centre.
Please note:
* The colours you see on your screen may not look exactly the same as the actual print. This is because every computer, Smart phone and iPad screen is configured differently. Hopefully you will think the prints look even more beautiful in real life.
