GICLEE PRINT – Artwork printed on Platinum Matt 280gsm photo paper and is 100% acid free. A fine art photo paper with a natural white base and state of the art ink-receiving layer, delivers a high D-MAX and wide colour gamut. When used in conjunction with pigment inks, the paper will ensure a long print life of over 85 years.

Ludwig Mies van der Rohe is widely known for his simple and elegant architectural style, which focused on clean lines, open spaces, and modern materials such as steel and glass. His famous phrase “less is more” reflects his belief that architecture should be minimal, functional, and carefully designed.
The Farnsworth House, completed in 1951 in Plano, Illinois, is one of the best examples of Mies’s minimalist approach to architecture. It was designed as a weekend retreat for Dr. Edith Farnsworth for whom he created a simple glass structure raised slightly above the ground. The building is supported by a steel frame and large glass panels that form the exterior walls. One of the most striking features of the Farnsworth House is its transparency. Because the walls are made of glass, the interior space feels completely open and connected to the surrounding landscape. The house sits near the Fox River and is surrounded by trees and nature. From inside the house, the view of the landscape becomes an important part of the living space. The interior design is also extremely simple. The house has an open plan with very few interior walls. Most of the living areas flow together in one continuous space, creating a calm and uncluttered atmosphere. A wooden core in the center contains essential services like the kitchen and bathroom, while the rest of the space remains open.
